Emma Thompson is an approximately 8 to 10 year old beagle mix from Florence, Alabama. We rescued her in memory of favorite senior Badass alum Steve McQueen who left a hole in our hearts when he passed away last November. Emma’s keeping up the tradition of sweet, mellow senior hounds, but she’s a little! And an adorable one at that!
Her Southern foster mom had some advance praise: “Emma has a tiny head & short little legs that might be thanks to some chihuahua. She has no problem jumping up onto a chair or the sofa, where she enjoys being a very laid back couch potato, content just sitting in your lap for as long as you can stand it. She walks well on a leash, seldom barks, and it’s a cute little hound bark. She loves to sleep in the bed & dives under the covers. She sleeps all night. Emma likes riding in the car & is very good.” Emma is housebroken and cratetrained and a very easy-going gal. Her NYC foster family joins in the ringing endorsement: “Emma is amazing! Such a puppy in an old lady’s body She is the biggest sweetheart and just wants to lay next to you where ever you are and cuddle. I can’t walk even to the kitchen without hearing her collar jingle as she follows me just to see where I’m going! She’s also taken to NYC so well! She is not fazed by the craziness of Flatbush Ave or even other dogs on the street. I feel like she has seen and done it all so that is why she is so chill!! There is not a negative thing I could say about this little one. She is the cutest and so well trained, I don’t know how anyone could have abandoned her!”
